KilnMaster Touchscreen with Built-in WiFi (KMT Controller)

This kiln controller includes all the features of the KM controller but adds a user-friendly touch screen and built-in WiFi. With the integrated WiFi, you can monitor kiln temperature and status directly from your smartphone using a free app. Additionally, the built-in WiFi allows for free software feature upgrades, ensuring your kiln controller remains up-to-date throughout its lifespan. Sophisticated, Yet Easy to Use

·        Factory Set Programs: The kiln comes with pre-programmed settings for firing in Cone fire Mode, offering slow, medium, and high fire options. You can customize these programs by adding Preheat and hold

·        Custom Programs: You have the ability to create your own firing programs with up to 32 segments. Each segment can include both Ramp and Hold settings, giving you precise control over the firing process. Additionally, you can store up to 12 custom programs for future use.

·        Built in Diagnostics give you or our technicians the ability to diagnose kiln problems with just a few button presses.

·        New Safety Features help prevent accidental starts and overfires.

·        New software keeps track of your Firing Costs and the Number of Firings

Balanced Elements

·        In Kiln design, heat loss from the top and bottom can cause uneven firing, prompting manufacturers to add extra heating elements in the base or use more enhanced element in those area. Skutt addresses this by using powerful heating elements at the top and bottom to direct heat, resulting in better temperature consistency and improved firing quality.

Skutt Kilns should arrive fully assembled. Packed with the kiln you will find the following items:

·        8 half shelfs

·        8 number each of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inch post 

·        3kg Kiln wash

·        Kiln Stand

·        Instructional Manual

·        Type K Spare Thermocouple

·        Peep Plugs – attached to the kiln stand, enough to fill each peephole on your particular model.

Optional upgrades

·        Single or Three Phase: Skutt models (other than 714), can be made available in single or three phase. However, because of the Indian power condition, it is not recommended to run models requiring above 8KWS in single phase.

·        Zone control can be made available for firing very tall pots or working with extremely sensitive material. However, this could result in longer firing times, shorter relay and thermocouple life. Increased maintenance cost because of increased number of components (1 thermocouple and 1 relay per zone) and higher wear and tear of components.

·        S Type Thermocouple does not degrade when exposed to high temperatures. Hence can be provided as an option for artist consistently firing beyond cone 6 with high hold.

·        Solid Relay and APM element are part of PK series and can be made available for other kiln models which are high fired multiple times a week.

·        The Skutt EnviroVent 2 is a downdraft ventilation system that removes fumes, vapors, and odors from Skutt kilns and vents them outside. It's especially useful for firing materials like metallics and high sulfur clays, which can emit strong odors.

·        Skutt Rolling Stands are constructed out of heavy duty, welded square tubing and fitted with high quality, locking polypropylene castors. Polypropylene wheels roll smoothly across the floor. They provide the recommended clearances from the kiln to the floor and many are adjustable in order to raise the loading level to a height that is comfortable for you.
