This glossy transparent clear glaze can be used over ‘under glaze’ work. It works best with a thin application. Zinc can cause some pigments in slips & underglazes to shift in color, this clear glaze will prevent those color shifts

More Info:

1) Specific gravity of a liquid glaze should be 1.23 to 1.27 and recommended dipping time should be 1 to 2 seconds to avoid cloudiness and crawling
2) The color and feel of the glaze might vary from that in the picture as it is difficult to capture the same
3) The glazes have been tried and tested with different stoneware clay bodies.
4) The samples in the pictures have gone through oxidation firing in SKUTT Electric Kilns at  Cone 6 medium firing with holding time of 40 minutes
5) Most of our glazes are food safe, unless specified otherwise
6) Our glazes will not be in a liquid form to be brushed on the pieces. We recommend dipping pieces in this glaze.

Note:

To get the right recommended specific gravity (1.20 to 1.23), add 1100-1300 ml of water for one kg of clear glaze while sieving.

Thicker application might create crawling defect. Advised to test it with different thicknesses of a glaze before going for the bigger production
