Blue Rib #2 (firm)

The #2 was the first rib that was created in this series. It is a remake of Michael Sherrill’s favorite old rib and a workhorse for throwing, smoothing and compressing.

This polymer rib is made of a unique flexible material that is resistant to cracking and the formation of burrs. The blue rib is flexible but, the firmest of the lot. It is great when trying to achieve high burnishing levels and while throwing large pieces.

Whether you are throwing clay on the wheel, hand building or sculpting, the pottery rib is a classic and essential tool. It acts as an extension of the potters hand to create shapes and surfaces that fingers alone can not achieve.
