More Info:

1) Ideal for both white and dark clay bodies. Apply it thicker on the dark clay bodies to get the right results.

2) Recommended specific gravity of a liquid glaze for Ivory clay body is 1.30-1.35 to get the expected results.

2.a) Recommended specific gravity of a liquid glaze for Sandalwood and Coffee brown clay body is 1.45-1.45 to get the expected results.

3) Recommended dipping time for different clay bodies, (If you are using Clay station clays)

  • For Ivory (Porosity at bisque - 17%-20%) - 8 to 10 seconds
  • For Sandalwood (Porosity at bisque -12% -13%) - 8 to 10 seconds

If other clay bodies are used, check with the Clay body bisque porosities to ensure the appropriate dipping time for the good results. 

4) Thin application gives less glittering effect. Needs to be applied thicker to get more glittering effect.

5) The color and feel of the glaze might vary from that in the picture as it is difficult to capture the same.

6) The glazes have been tried and tested on white stoneware clay bodies.

7) The samples in the pictures have gone through oxidation firing in SKUTT Electric Kilns at ^6 medium firing

8) This glaze is lead free, non- toxic and food safe.

9) Our glazes will not be in a liquid form to be brushed on the pieces. We recommend dipping/ pouring/spraying techniques for these glazes

Note:

It is a Crystalline glaze.

Drip catchers are must to collect the concentration of a glaze. It can be removed by the use of Gas torches.

2)While mixing glazes in powder form, ensure usage of mask, to prevent inhalation of chemicals.
