A glaze is a liquid combination containing silica, that fuses on to a ceramic body when fired at a desired temperature, turning it into strong, vitreous, waterproof pieces. Once fired with our glazes, pieces can hold liquids and be used as functional ware. Glazes work well in combination with other recommended glazes. To get the desired results, read the instructions and combination recommendations carefully. The results may vary from the examples shown below based on application, clay body and type of kilns. The glazes we provide are suited for oxidation firing. They are nontoxic and are food-safe unless specified otherwise
