Semi matte glaze, with opaque Dark blue color finish. Ideal for both white and dark clay bodies.

More Info:

1) Recommended Specific gravity of a mixed glaze is 1.35-1.4

2) Recommended dipping time for different clay bodies, (If you are using Clay station clays)

  • For Ivory (Porosity at bisque - 15%-17%) - 3 to 4 seconds 
  • For Sandalwood (Porosity at bisque -12% -13%) - 4 to 5 seconds

If other clay bodies are used, check with the Clay body bisque porosities to ensure the appropriate dipping time for the good results.  

3) The samples in the pictures have gone through oxidation firing in SKUTT Electric Kilns at ^6 medium firing with hold for 30 minutes.

4) The color and feel of the glaze might vary from that in the picture as it is difficult to capture the same.

5) The glazes have been tried and tested on white and dark stoneware clay bodies.

6) This glaze is lead free, non- toxic and food safe

7) Our glazes will not be in a liquid form to be brushed on the pieces. We recommend dipping/ pouring/spraying techniques with this glazes

Note:

1) This glaze is not meant for the “Iron rich” clay bodies (>5% Iron). Glaze will react with Iron content presents in the clay body and might affect the final results

2) Tong areas are tends to crawl. So, patch those areas with the glaze to avoid Crawling

2)While mixing glazes in powder form, ensure usage of mask, to prevent inhalation of chemicals..
