This borosilicate frit contains high levels of calcium and melts at very low temperatures. It is highly valued for its balanced chemistry, resembling that of 3134 frit, which includes calcium oxide (CaO), sodium oxide (Na2O), and boron oxide (B2O3) at the expense of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) and some silicon dioxide (SiO2).

This Frit is commonly added to glazes to lower their melting point, as its balanced chemistry minimally disrupts other oxide balances while increasing boron content.

Due to its high CaO content, it significantly affects browns and iron oxide colors in glazes.

This material is suited for manufacturing Ceramic Glaze.
